I don’t know about you but I am loving this season’s hair for that beachwavy look;
long, loose, carefree bouncy waves are all the rage right now.
What’s better is that there is a new curling wand by Sarah Potempa at Ulta Beauty stores that is a GAME CHANGER – wait wut?
That’s right, I said it, it’s a game changer because it’ does the curling and rotating of hair for that perfect beachwaver with just a click of a button – mic drop.
It also heats up faster than an Olmypic sprinter and gets hotter than one, too. ha!
Today, I’m sharing some tips to help you achieve those perfect fall waves using this genius beach-making-wave-curling wand magic wonder!
But first things first, love your hair.
It helps a TON to have healthy and loved hair, I have bleached hair and it takes a beating every quarter,
I like to invest in products that will give it the attention it needs.
I am a big fan of Redken’s All-Soft Shampoo and Conditioner, it gentle and hydrating – I’ve used it for years and it’s one of my faorites.
But no matter what I like to add a really good serum that heps protect, repair, and get my hair shining on with DermOrganics hair serum.
Second, get your wave on.
As mentioned earlier, this season’s waves are looser, longer, and less control.
Instead of curling the entire strand from tip to root, I would recommend the less is more rule by curling the mid/lower sections of your strands.
when I beachwave my hair, I start 1.5-2 inches away from the end of the strand using Sarah’s miracle baby
and let the wand rotate around my strand of hair until I reach eye level, maybe even a little below that.
After the hair is released, instead of letting the coil cool into place in my hand, I let it cool lengthwise and give it a good stretch.
Repeat this step until every strand is wavy. Gently comb out with a brush!
I may touch up the ends with some of the DermOrgancs serum because my hair is super dry.
The first time I saw the Beachwaver was on Periscope with Sarah Potempa (herself) showing all her tricks -my mind was giddy and blown away!
There has been such a buzz about it online and the Beachwaveris even doing the hair at the Victoria’s Secret show this year – very exciting stuff!
The best part? No more awkward behind the head moves – my burn risks have dropped significantly! ha!
I’d love to hear how you are working beach waves into your daily routine, I am on a daily basis.
Beachwaves are my go-to look because it’s so cool, effortless looking, and chic – and of course reminds me of the beach (I still miss you SoCal).
thanks for stopping by and have a glamorous day!
