Prints Charming – Summer’s Easiest Dress

Step out of the shorts and tee wardrobe box and give your look something to talk about with an easy printed dress.

I love the added excitement a print can bring into one’s life and not just my own but to the people I meet as I go about my day. In the US, we live in a world where denim shorts and cotton tees rule the day! With that said, I think everyone is ready for something fresh and nothing is fresher than a printed summer dress (as seen below). Not only will it keep you cool and looking cool better than any combo on the market! Pair it with some strappy flat sandals and an easy clutch and you are SET.

Prints Charming - Summer's Easiest Dress

Today’s look was inspired by some of my favorite looks above from designers like,
Splendid, All Things Mochi, SUNO, Paul & Joe Sister, and Tory Burch.

So as I was thinking about my favorite summer dress and how I would make this look my own, I thought of one of my favorite too pattern’s right now and it’s McCalls M7080, I loved the structured fold-over collar and flirty skirt of this dress. The wider bodice feature of this dress is youthful and forgiving – my favorite characteristics, as seen below. The only alteration I made to this look was adding a banded collar to dress “C” and adding 3 inches of contrasting fabric to the hemline. The peter pan collar in the pattern works just fine, I was just experimenting with something different at the time and it didn’t turn out the way I hoped.

Whatever your method to acquire this effortless look, I hope you find comfort IN the comfort of a light and airy, fashionable and flirty look.

Thanks dolls for stopping by have a glamorous day!
