Today’s post is so simple and so fast, I wish I would’ve created this Kenzo Inspired Sweatshirt tutorial sooner! When I spotted the Voodoo Charm Grommet Cotton Sweatshirt at Nordstorm, I fell in love and filed it away on my “to do list” – why the delay? I have a confession: I’ve never made grommets before – gasp! Ugh, yes. I can sew a dart and throw in an invisible zipper with one eye but grommets were so intimidating. How silly I am because these things are sooooo freaking easy to do!!
To recreate this Easy Kenzo Inspired Sweatshirt you will need the following:
- A Grommet kit and grommets,
- a hammer,
- and sweatshirt.
- cut a hole barely big enough for your grommet (your sweat shirt stretches – so I really mean BARELY).
- Put in your grommet according to package instructions, and hammer away!
So EASY. I LOVE IT. Especially when the original will cost ya up to $580 dollars at Nordstorm – eek! I liked using two different grommet sizes and kept the placement as random as my eye would allow! It’s also a great way to channel some winter angry blues with the hammer – haha!
Anyways, hope you all can give this a try! It will be fun to add more grommets to other pieces of clothing soon! Thanks for stopping by and have a glamorous day!
