Hello dolls! I have an easy Alice + Olivia inspired tutorial for you that is so much fun that my sunnies will never be the same after today! HA! Seriously, I LOVE it and cannot wait to share that with you!

But first, don’t you love my look today?

Oh my gosh dear friends, I’m a sucker for prints. I love prints and I love mixing things up in terms of what is expected. In this case, leopard and polka dots. Maybe it’s too much and maybe it’s not enough, but leopard will always be a neutral for moi – it is one of my favorite colors and I can never get enough – ha! Have you ever mixed the two yet? I’m daring you to try it! Experimenting with these two bold prints was pretty easy with this culotte jumpsuit. Which reminds me of another thing;

I LOVE THIS JUMPSUIT.

Like, love – love. For reals, this Vogue Pattern, v9075, is a decent pattern to whip up, I love the princess seams in the bodice to achieve a more fitted look that darts alone cannot quite do AND with the wide leg and pleats on the pants  – it looks like I have a small waist line and a butt, ha! I am not shaming my body, I don’t believe anyone should do this – our bodies are gifts, but you know, I don’t have a narrow waist – I have had 4 babies up in there and I have never had a booty. My body type is more board type, some call it athletic – I call it shapeless. Which is fine. BUT, I love the illusion that I had some curve to my figure AND my friends, that’s how you know you have a good pattern on your hands – if it can flatter your beautiful, as is, figure – your golden. I was thinking it would look better with already curvy body types, so I was surprised it worked on me, too! It was also one of the looks I made for the Sew Expo last month! *memories*

I still cannot believe that happened! This jumpsuit was my opening look for the show, it was always on first and most photographed backstage with my new SEW EXPO Besties, hehe.

Anyone hoard fabric? Oh my gosh, I have had that polkdot fabric for YEARS.

Like, Yeeeeeaaaaarrrrrsssss.

To my husband who will most likely never read this post,
Honey, this is why I am a fabric hoarder.

Okay, let’s talk about these sunglasses. I have been watching these Alice + Olivia sunglasses pop up all over my magazines that I needed to get these DIY’d fast. You know what? I will never be the same. Yeah, sure my husband thinks they are a little over the top, but hello, this is Riva La DIVA – over the top is my jam. I currently cannot get enough! So here’s what you need to recreate these DIY Alice + Olivia inspired Sunglasses.

Until then, I’ll be sewing more jumpsuits and starting a new hoarding project of my own – JEWELRY (Sorry, Seth). Thanks for stopping and have a glamorous day, darlings!
