Can you go wrong with Sequins + Stripes? Gosh, I hope not because today’s look was so fun to wear! I love finding ways to dress up and mix colors and textures together. LOVE IT.
If my outfit looks like I am going to a party, then it was a success! I love parties, especially hen they are for me, ha!
Yeah, there is no big DIY out there this today unless you want to DIY your wardrobe with more stripe and sequin combinations – because then I highly recommend it.
The blouse is vintage so I don’t have a link for that but I totally made that skirt. The pattern is from: Burda 7034. The fabric is from IKEA. Most fabric from IKEA is pretty bulky, perfect for home decor. But it must used conservatively for fashion. I’ve had this fabric and pattern for years, I’m not sure what took me so long put two and two together. But I did and don’t worry, it’s here for you now!
The pattern itself, I’ve use many times (DIY Les Copains and DIY Christian Siriano). I still wear that Les Copains dress all over the place – I LOVE IT. If you cannot tell already, there’s lot’s of love going on in here, ha!
This dress pattern is without a doubt a classic piece – the skirt alone is a gold mine. It’s no wonder I use and re-use this pattern often. As far a turning it into a skirt, all I needed to do was add a waistband from another pattern. EASY.
Well, I think that covers it! If you decide to give this a try, share it with me on Instagram, @RivaLaDiva and/or give me a shout out on Facebook at Riva La Diva. I would love to hear from you and celebrate with you on your newest creation!
Until then, have a glamorous day, babes!
