Today’s post is super easy, so it’s not a terribly long because I have a 2 dozen sugar cookies for school parties to whip up and many more preparations for Valentine’s day but I wanted to share I second look for Valentine’s Day!
Inspired by my last post for Hancock Fabrics Stitch Blog (HERE), I made the cutest Kate Spade Knock off.
Well, I loved the post and heart applique so much for the clutch bag I recreate,
I thought a clutch is NOT enough,
I NEED A DRESS. haha!
So that’s exactly what I did!
You can do the same with the following,
- a dress
- FELT, cut out hearts
- thread that matches the hearts
The all you have to do is randomly pin hearts throughout the front and back of your dress,
sew hearts into place (as instructed in the Hancock Fabrics tutorial),
and you are done!
If you want to take it a step further, you can make yourself a dress, too!
I took one of my favorite patterns that I used HERE and HERE, (Burda Pattern 6848)
ditched the sleeves, reconstructed the armhole so it would cover a little more of my shoulder and have the cap sleeve vibe,
and then added he hearts. I thought it would also look really cool on the Denim dress I made last fall, HERE.
But why stop there? Add it to any garment in need of a little more love. ha!
Whatever you decide, this easy fashion tutorial will get you looking your best for Valentine’s day!
